where we came from & where we are going

Metropolitan Escrow 1984The roots of Metropolitan Escrow, Inc. grow deep in Nashville. Sisters, Patricia Nicholls and Anita Lester were born and raised just south of the city center. Their father, an entrepreneur, and two brothers started a family business in 1979. Meanwhile Patricia had been working in the title insurance industry since 1977. After much success in the family business, one of Patricia’s brothers encouraged her to start her own business. With Anita’s bookkeeping and business background, Patricia couldn’t think of a better business partner.

And so, Metropolitan Escrow was born. Patricia and Anita established this family-owned business in 1984 to provide Middle Tennessee with an honest and knowledgeable option for title and escrow services. The two sisters worked out of their cars until they could secure office space and hire an attorney. Then in 1991, Patricia and Anita built an office building just south of Nashville at 217 Pineway Drive and are still located there today. In the past 30 years this duo has weathered the market through many ups and downs, and Metropolitan Escrow, Inc. has earned a reputation for doing things right, developing trusting relationships, and treating people like family.

Patricia and Anita have instilled family values of basic courtesy and respect since the beginning. Their business philosophy of putting a focus on customer service led them to hire an experienced group of real estate professionals focused on best servicing clients through one-on-one interaction and really understanding the client’s needs. Patricia and Anita also knew that if they took great care of their employees, their employees would take exceptional care of their clients in return.
